Winter

As the days are at their shortest, winter is probably the most surprising time of year for residents and visitor to Buck Lake.
Some think it is the best time of year. No big projects just time to explore our great outdoors.

Activities like ice fishing are a favourite. So is sledding to explore the forests and trails that abound around the lake.

In many years it is possible to just clear the ice of some recent snows and you can be off skating on your own skating rink.

And at the end of every day, it is a glorious time to come indoors and start a fire in your fireplace and settle in for a movie or just a good book.
